Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Toxicologist to join our dynamic team of researchers and scientists. As a Toxicologist, you will be responsible for studying and evaluating the effects of various chemical substances on living organisms. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of effective strategies to mitigate and manage toxicological risks. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in biology and research methodologies, enabling them to make valuable contributions to our organization's scientific endeavors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting in-depth research on toxic substances, including their chemical properties, mechanisms of action, and potential risks to humans, animals, and the environment.
- Designing and performing experiments, studies, and tests to analyze the toxicological effects of chemicals and substances on biological systems.
- Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from experiments, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
- Preparing detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings, including recommendations for risk assessment and prevention measures.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including chemists, pharmacologists, and environmental scientists, to develop comprehensive toxicological assessments.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices in toxicology.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, including regulatory affairs, product development, and safety teams.
- Participating in scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars to present research findings and network with industry peers.
- Contributing to the development and improvement of laboratory protocols, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Biology, Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related field. A Ph.D. is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Toxicologist, conducting scientific research in a laboratory setting.
- In-depth knowledge of toxicological principles, including absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of chemicals.
- Proficiency in designing and executing toxicology studies, including exposure assessments, dose-response modeling, and hazard identification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex scientific data and draw accurate conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment, instruments, and software for data analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines governing toxicological research, such as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and International Council on Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
