Job Description: Escrow Officer (Law and Criminal Justice - Paralegal)
Position Overview:
The Escrow Officer is a vital member of the legal team specializing in law and criminal justice, specifically in the role of a paralegal. This position requires an individual who can effectively manage and administer real estate escrow transactions. The Escrow Officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and lawful execution of escrow activities, maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional customer service to all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Escrow Management:
- Oversee the entire escrow process, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations.
- Coordinate with relevant parties involved in escrow transactions, such as buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and attorneys.
- Review, prepare, and execute escrow documents, including purchase agreements, title reports, and settlement statements.
- Accurately calculate and process financial transactions, including deposits, disbursements, and adjustments.
2. Legal Support:
- Assist attorneys and legal professionals with research, document preparation, and case management related to real estate escrow matters.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on property titles, liens, and encumbrances.
- Prepare legal documents, such as contracts, deeds, and closing statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
3. Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all escrow activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
- Paralegal certification or relevant professional qualifications are highly preferred.
2. Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Escrow Officer or Paralegal, preferably within a law firm or real estate setting.
- Strong understanding of escrow procedures, real estate transactions, and legal documentation.

3. Knowledge:
