Job Summary:
The Paralegal Arbitrator is responsible for providing comprehensive paralegal support and expertise in the field of law and criminal justice specifically pertaining to arbitration cases. The role involves assisting attorneys and arbitrators in all stages of arbitration proceedings, ensuring efficient case management, and maintaining accurate records. The Paralegal Arbitrator will work collaboratively with legal teams, clients, and external parties to facilitate the resolution of disputes through arbitration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist attorneys and arbitrators in preparing for arbitration hearings, including researching legal precedents, statutes, and regulations.
2. Review, analyze, and organize case-related documents, evidence, and exhibits to support arbitration proceedings.
3. Draft and prepare legal documents, such as arbitration agreements, briefs, memoranda, and correspondence.
4. Facilitate communication between parties involved in arbitration cases, including clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts.
5. Schedule and coordinate arbitration hearings, meetings, and conferences, ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place.
6. Attend and provide support during arbitration hearings, including managing exhibits, taking notes, and preparing hearing summaries.
7. Assist in the preparation of witness testimony and coordinate witness appearances during arbitration proceedings.
8. Maintain accurate case files, records, and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Law, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
2. Certified Paralegal or relevant professional certification preferred.
3. Proven experience working as a paralegal with exposure to arbitration cases.
4. Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and terminology related to arbitration.
5. Exceptional research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and interpret relevant legal sources.
6. Proficient in using legal research databases and technology tools.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
