Summary:
The Clinical Research Nurse will play a vital role in conducting and managing clinical research studies within the healthcare and medical field. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The Clinical Research Nurse will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of study participants, as well as collecting and analyzing data to contribute to the advancement of medical research.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct and coordinate clinical research studies in accordance with study protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.
2. Recruit, screen, and enroll eligible study participants, ensuring compliance with inclusion and exclusion criteria.
3. Obtain informed consent from study participants and provide them with detailed information about the study procedures, potential risks, and benefits.
4. Implement and perform clinical assessments, administer study medications, and collect biological samples as required by the research protocols.
5. Monitor study participants closely throughout the duration of the study, ensuring their safety and well-being.
6. Collect, record, and maintain accurate and detailed clinical data and study documentation.
7. Collaborate with the research team to develop and update research protocols, case report forms (CRFs), and other study-related documents.
8. Assist with data analysis and contribute to the preparation of study reports and scientific publications.
9. Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements throughout the research process.
10. Maintain effective communication with study participants, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders involved in the research study.
11. Attend relevant training sessions, conferences, and seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in clinical research.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field. Current and valid nursing license is required.
2. Proven experience in clinical research, preferably in a healthcare or academic setting.
3. Excellent knowledge of research methodologies, regulations, and ethical considerations in clinical research.
4. Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements.
5. Proficient in performing clinical assessments, administering medications, and collecting biological samples.
6. Ability to accurately collect, record, and maintain detailed clinical data and study documentation.
7. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to study participants and other stakeholders.
9. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with the capacity to make sound decisions in a fast-paced research environment.
10. Proficient in using computer applications and electronic data capture systems.
11. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and establish positive working relationships with colleagues and study participants.
