Job Summary:
The Health Outcomes Researcher will be responsible for conducting comprehensive studies and analyzing health-related data to evaluate the effectiveness, safety, and economic impact of various healthcare interventions, treatments, and policies. The individual in this role will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and statisticians to generate evidence-based insights and contribute to improving patient outcomes and resource allocation in the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute health outcomes research studies, including observational studies, clinical trials, and retrospective analyses, to assess the impact of healthcare interventions on patient outcomes.
- Develop research protocols, data collection tools, and statistical analysis plans in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collect, manage, and analyze health-related data from various sources, such as electronic medical records, claims databases, patient surveys, and clinical trials.
- Utilize advanced statistical methods and modeling techniques to analyze and interpret complex healthcare data, including but not limited to survival analysis, propensity score matching, and cost-effectiveness analysis.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify research questions, establish study objectives, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Prepare and present research findings, study reports, and scientific publications to internal and external audiences, including healthcare professionals, policymakers, and scientific conferences.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in health outcomes research methodologies, healthcare policies, and regulatory guidelines to enhance research practices and maintain compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in public health, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in health outcomes research, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid understanding of research methodologies, study design, and statistical analysis techniques commonly used in health outcomes research.
- Proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R, or STATA) and data management tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present research findings to diverse audiences.
