Job Summary:
The Medical Liaison plays a crucial role in the Healthcare and Medicine department by acting as a key point of contact between healthcare professionals and the organization. The primary responsibility of the Medical Liaison is to establish and maintain effective relationships with medical experts, key opinion leaders, and healthcare professionals, ensuring the exchange of accurate and up-to-date medical information. The Medical Liaison will provide scientific support, education, and expertise to internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the successful development and promotion of medical products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and medical experts, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
2. Provide accurate and updated medical information to healthcare professionals, including product knowledge, clinical data, and scientific research.
3. Deliver educational presentations, training sessions, and scientific discussions to internal teams, external stakeholders, and healthcare professionals.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of medical strategies, product launches, and marketing initiatives.
5. Attend medical conferences, seminars, and scientific meetings to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of medicine and healthcare.
6. Collect and analyze medical and scientific data, contributing to the development of medical materials, publications, and research studies.
7. Act as a medical resource for internal teams, providing guidance and support on medical matters, regulatory compliance, and legal requirements.
8. Stay updated with industry regulations, guidelines, and ethical standards, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
9. Establish and maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitors' products, medical trends, and market dynamics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Medical Degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
2. Strong scientific background with in-depth knowledge of medical terminology, clinical research, and pharmaceutical industry practices.
3. Previous experience in a medical affairs or medical liaison role within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
5. Proven ability to deliver scientific presentations and training sessions to diverse audiences.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically analyze and interpret scientific data.
7. Thorough understanding of medical laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
8. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
9. Proficiency in using medical databases, literature search engines, and scientific software.
