Summary:
The Stunt Performer is a highly skilled professional responsible for executing complex and dynamic stunts in film, television, theater, or live performances. This role requires exceptional physical abilities, rigorous training, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards. The Stunt Performer must possess excellent coordination, adaptability, and the ability to convincingly portray dangerous or risky actions while ensuring the safety of themselves and others involved.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of stunts, including but not limited to combat scenes, falls, jumps, vehicle maneuvers, and aerial work, as required by the production.
- Collaborate closely with the Stunt Coordinator and other team members to develop and execute stunt sequences that align with the artistic vision of the project.
- Ensure the highest level of safety during all stunts by following established protocols, utilizing protective gear, and adhering to industry regulations.
- Participate in rehearsals and training sessions to perfect stunt techniques and maintain physical fitness.
- Continuously expand stunt repertoire and skill set through ongoing training and self-improvement.
- Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor while working in high-pressure environments, following directions from the director and stunt team.
- Communicate effectively with the production team, providing valuable input and suggestions to enhance the overall quality of the performance.
- Maintain all necessary licenses, certifications, and insurances required for stunt work.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and safety standards related to stunt performances.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Stunt Performer in film, television, theater, or live performances.
- Demonstrated ability to execute a variety of stunts, such as fights, falls, jumps, and vehicle maneuvers.
- Exceptional physical fitness, agility, coordination, and flexibility.
- Proficiency in various stunt techniques, including combat, wirework, fire burns, and high falls.
- In-depth knowledge of safety practices, regulations, and protocols pertaining to stunt work.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the production team and fellow performers.
- Willingness to continuously train and improve stunt skills.
- Possession of valid licenses, certifications, and insurances required for stunt work.
- A professional and responsible attitude towards safety and performance.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as per production requirements.
