Job Summary:
The Wildlife Conservation Planner will play a key role in developing and implementing strategic conservation plans to ensure the preservation and sustainable management of wildlife habitats and populations. This position requires a strong background in agriculture and environmental science, as well as expertise in wildlife conservation and planning. The Wildlife Conservation Planner will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify conservation priorities, analyze data, and design effective conservation strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of wildlife habitats, populations, and ecological factors to identify conservation needs and priorities.
2. Develop and implement strategic conservation plans for wildlife species and their habitats, considering factors such as land use, climate change, and human impact.
3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to gather and analyze data on wildlife populations and habitat trends, using advanced statistical and modeling techniques.
4. Identify potential threats to wildlife conservation efforts and propose mitigation strategies to address these challenges.
5. Liaise with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and local communities to ensure effective coordination and collaboration in conservation initiatives.
6. Conduct research and stay informed about the latest advancements in wildlife conservation practices, methodologies, and technologies.
7. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders, including funding agencies, government bodies, and community groups.
8. Collaborate with other professionals, such as wildlife biologists, ecologists, and land managers, to integrate conservation initiatives into broader environmental and agricultural programs.
9. Develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations and agencies to leverage resources and support for wildlife conservation projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Wildlife Conservation, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in wildlife conservation planning, preferably in a professional capacity.
3. Strong understanding of ecological principles, conservation biology, and environmental management.
4. Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting scientific data, using statistical software and modeling tools.
5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
7. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
8. Familiarity with local and international wildlife conservation regulations, policies, and best practices.
9. Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information System) and its application in conservation planning is highly desirable.
10. Demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability and wildlife conservation.
