Position Overview:
The Reporter is responsible for researching, gathering, and reporting news stories in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities:

3. Generate well-written, accurate, and engaging news articles, features, and reports for publication, ensuring adherence to journalistic standards and ethical guidelines.
4. Develop and maintain a network of contacts and sources to stay updated on industry trends, events, and breaking news.
5. Attend press conferences, events, and other relevant activities to gather information and report on news stories.
6. Stay up-to-date with current events, news trends, and emerging topics in order to produce relevant, timely, and engaging content.
7. Collaborate with editors, photographers, videographers, and other team members to enhance news stories and deliver multimedia content.
8. Ensure accuracy, fact-check information, and maintain high journalistic standards while reporting news stories.
9. Adhere to publication deadlines and work efficiently under pressure to meet daily, weekly, or monthly targets.
10. Utilize social media platforms and other digital tools to engage with readers, promote stories, and expand audience reach.
11. Continuously develop professional skills and knowledge through attending industry events, training programs, and staying updated with media advancements.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Reporter, Journalist, or in a similar role.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
4. Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging news articles, features, and reports.
5. Strong research and investigative skills, with the ability to gather information from various sources.
6. Keen attention to detail and strong fact-checking abilities to ensure accuracy in reporting.
7. Proficiency in using digital tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
8. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. Strong interpersonal skills to conduct interviews, build relationships with sources, and collaborate effectively with team members.
10. Knowledge of journalistic ethics, legal considerations, and industry standards.
11. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
12. A portfolio of previous work demonstrating writing abilities, news coverage, and reporting skills is highly desirable.
