Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing hardware designs for electrical systems and components. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, along with proficiency in hardware design principles, tools, and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop hardware systems, circuits, and components according to project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of electrical designs to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of hardware designs into overall product development.
4. Prepare and review technical documentation, including schematics, drawings, specifications, and test plans.
5. Perform prototype testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and resolve hardware design issues.
6. Conduct feasibility studies and recommend design improvements, cost optimizations, and design alternatives.
7. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in hardware design methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in hardware design engineering, preferably within the electrical or electronics industry.
3. Solid knowledge of electrical engineering principles, hardware design methodologies, and best practices.
4. Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for schematic capture and layout design.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex electrical systems.
6. Excellent understanding of electronic components, circuit design, and PCB layout principles.
7. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electrical design, such as EMC/EMI compliance.
8. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with colleagues from diverse technical backgrounds.
9. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts.
