Job Summary:
The Clinical Research Veterinarian plays a crucial role in advancing veterinary medicine through the design, implementation, and management of clinical research studies. Key Responsibilities:

3. Collaborate with research staff and veterinarians to identify research objectives and develop appropriate methodologies.

5. Provide veterinary expertise to ensure animal welfare and compliance with applicable guidelines throughout the research process.
6. Perform surgical procedures, administer medications, and monitor anesthesia during experimental interventions.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
2. Veterinary license in the state of practice, or ability to obtain one.
3. Board certification or eligibility for certification in a specialty area related to veterinary research (e.g., Laboratory Animal Medicine, Comparative Medicine) is preferred.
4. Proven experience in designing and conducting clinical research studies, including familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
5. Strong knowledge of animal physiology, veterinary medicine, and surgical techniques.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex scientific data.
7. Proficient in scientific writing and the ability to contribute to research publications and grant proposals.
