Summary:

Responsibilities:

3. Collaborate with research teams:
- Provide expert guidance and support to researchers on appropriate animal models, experimental techniques, and study design.
- Assist in the development and execution of research protocols involving laboratory animals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical considerations in research involving animals.
- Provide training to researchers and animal care staff on proper handling, restraint, and care techniques for laboratory animals.

4. Maintain laboratory animal facilities:
- Oversee the husbandry and management of laboratory animal facilities, including ensuring cleanliness, adequate ventilation, and appropriate temperature and humidity levels.
- Collaborate with the animal care staff to develop and implement animal care and welfare SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Ensure proper quarantine and isolation procedures are followed for incoming animals.
- Monitor and manage the supply of veterinary medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and other necessary resources.

Qualifications:
1. Education:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Successful completion of a residency program in laboratory animal medicine is highly preferred.
- Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.

2. Experience:
