Job Description: Production Assistant - Entertainment and Performing Arts (Film Production)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our dynamic film production team. As a Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our film productions. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to pre-production, production, and post-production activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure effective execution of daily operations on set and in the office.
- Assist in coordinating logistics, including scheduling meetings, organizing travel arrangements, and managing production calendars.
- Aid in the preparation and distribution of scripts, call sheets, and other production-related documents.
- Assist with location scouting, set preparation, and arranging necessary permits and releases.
- Assist in managing equipment inventory, ensuring proper maintenance and organization.
- Support the production crew during filming, including setting up equipment, managing props, and coordinating talent.
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls, managing emails, and maintaining files and records.
- Assist with post-production tasks, such as organizing footage, logging scenes, and preparing materials for editing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant college degree is a plus.
- Proven experience working as a Production Assistant in the film industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of industry-standard software and tools.
- Attention to detail and the ability to anticipate and resolve production-related issues.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with film production processes, terminology, and industry best practices.
- Physical stamina and flexibility to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
