Position: Orthotic and Prosthetic Specialist
Department: Sports Medicine
Reports to: Sports Medicine Director

Job Summary:
The Orthotic and Prosthetic Specialist will be responsible for providing orthotic and prosthetic services to athletes and individuals participating in sports and athletics. The specialist will assess, design, fabricate, fit, and maintain orthotic and prosthetic devices to support the optimal performance and recovery of athletes. This role requires a deep understanding of sports injuries, biomechanics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of athletes and individuals to assess their orthotic and prosthetic needs for sports and athletic activities
- Design and fabricate custom orthotic and prosthetic devices for athletes, taking into consideration their specific sports requirements and injuries
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop customized treatment plans
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Provide education and guidance to athletes on proper use and maintenance of orthotic and prosthetic devices
- Conduct regular follow-ups with patients to assess device functionality, comfort, and make necessary adjustments
