Job Summary:
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of all electrical work. They will supervise a team of electricians, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise throughout all stages of the project. Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise a team of electricians, overseeing their work, providing guidance, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
2. Plan, schedule, and coordinate electrical work, ensuring timely completion of projects within budget.
3. Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality of workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with electrical codes.
4. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project plans, including estimating labor, materials, and equipment requirements.
5. Review electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the scope of work and ensure accuracy.
6. Order and procure materials and equipment required for electrical installations, ensuring availability and adherence to project schedules.
7. Train and mentor electricians, providing technical guidance and support to enhance their skills and ensure high-quality work.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
9. Conduct regular performance evaluations of electricians, providing constructive feedback and addressing any performance issues.
10. Collaborate with other supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve any project-related issues and ensure smooth project execution.
11. Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and completion certificates.
12. Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to electrical work, recommending and implementing process improvements as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; formal technical education in electrical work is preferred.
2. Valid electrical license or certification as required by local regulations.
3. Proven experience in electrical installations and maintenance, with a strong background in electrical systems and controls.
4. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the electrical industry.
5. Excellent knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
6. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
7. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
8. Proficient in using electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices.
9. Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
