Job Description: Electrical Foreman
Position Overview:
The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all electrical work on assigned projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership abilities, and effective communication skills to ensure successful completion of electrical installations and maintenance tasks. The Electrical Foreman will work closely with the project team, including electricians, engineers, and other tradespeople, to ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and lead a team of electricians, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
2. Coordinate and manage electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities on assigned projects.
3. Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine electrical requirements and ensure compliance.
4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to develop project schedules and resource allocation.
5. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
6. Monitor work progress, ensuring the timely completion of tasks within budget and in compliance with quality standards.
7. Inspect electrical systems and equipment regularly to identify and resolve issues, troubleshooting as necessary.
8. Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, assisting with complex electrical tasks when required.
9. Conduct performance evaluations for electricians, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
10. Coordinate and communicate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in electrical studies is preferred.
2. Valid electrical journeyman or master electrician license.
3. Proven experience as an Electrical Foreman or similar role, demonstrating strong leadership abilities.
4. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
5. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
6. Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members, clients, and contractors.
9. Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing project requirements and deadlines.
