Summary:
The Master Electrician will be responsible for overseeing and performing skilled electrical work in accordance with safety guidelines, electrical codes, and regulations. This position requires expertise in electrical systems, installations, repairs, and maintenance. The Master Electrician will work collaboratively with a team of electricians and other tradespeople to ensure efficient and effective completion of electrical projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate, plan, and execute electrical projects, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
2. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
3. Diagnose electrical problems using various testing devices and troubleshooting techniques.
4. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance measures on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
5. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to determine electrical requirements and specifications for new construction or remodeling projects.
6. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and placement of electrical systems and components.
7. Lead and supervise a team of electricians and apprentices, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
8. Maintain accurate documentation of electrical work performed, including reports, work orders, and equipment records.
9. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
10. Keep abreast of industry advancements, electrical codes, and regulations to stay updated with best practices and implement them in daily work.
Qualifications:
1. Valid Master Electrician license/certification required.
2. Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Master Electrician or in a similar role.
3. Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, installations, repairs, and maintenance techniques.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
