Job Description: Forest Economist
Position Summary:
The Forest Economist is responsible for analyzing economic data and conducting research to support decision-making processes in the field of forestry. This role focuses on assessing the economic impact of forestry practices, developing strategies for sustainable forest management, and providing valuable insights to optimize forest-related policies. The Forest Economist plays a crucial role in promoting efficient resource allocation and ensuring the long-term economic viability of forest ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:

3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate economic factors into forest management plans and policies.
4. Provide recommendations to enhance forest-related policies, taking into account economic efficiency, sustainability, and social impact.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Forestry, Economics, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in conducting economic analysis and research, preferably in the forestry or natural resource management sector.
3. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze complex economic data.
4. Proficient in using statistical software and economic modeling tools.
5. Solid knowledge of economic theories, principles, and methodologies relevant to forestry and natural resource economics.
