Job Description: Digital Media Planner
Position Summary:
The Digital Media Planner is responsible for developing and executing effective digital media strategies to maximize brand visibility, drive customer engagement, and achieve marketing objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of various digital channels, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital media campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive digital media plans across various platforms, including display advertising, social media, search engine marketing (SEM), and mobile advertising.
2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify target audiences, market trends, and competitor activities, ensuring that media plans are tailored to achieve maximum reach and effectiveness.
3. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, creative, and analytics teams, to align media strategies with overall marketing objectives and campaign goals.
4. Utilize audience insights and analytics to optimize media plans, ensuring maximum ROI and continuous improvement of campaign performance.
5. Manage relationships with external media vendors and negotiate contracts to secure best-in-class media placements at competitive rates.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital media planning, incorporating innovative strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness.
7. Monitor and report on the performance of digital media campaigns, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
8. Collaborate with the creative team to develop impactful ad copy and creative assets that align with brand guidelines and resonate with target audiences.
9. Maintain accurate records of media plans, budgets, and campaign performance metrics.
10. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices, including data privacy and consumer protection laws.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field.
2. Proven experience working as a Digital Media Planner or in a similar role, preferably in an agency or corporate environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of digital media platforms, tools, and technologies, including programmatic advertising, social media advertising, and search engine marketing.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
5. Proficiency in using digital media planning and analytics tools, such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and other relevant platforms.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex ideas and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and a high level of attention to accuracy.
9. Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to digital media planning and advertising.
10. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
