Position Overview:
The Radio Promotions Director is responsible for leading and managing all promotional activities within the radio broadcasting department. This individual will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic promotional campaigns to increase brand awareness, engage listeners, and drive audience growth. The Radio Promotions Director will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of promotional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive promotional strategies to enhance the visibility and market presence of the radio station.
2. Plan, organize, and execute promotional events, contests, concerts, and other initiatives to attract and retain listeners.
3. Collaborate with the programming and marketing teams to create compelling on-air content and promotions that align with the station's target audience.
4. Coordinate with external vendors, sponsors, and partners to secure promotional support and maximize exposure.
5. Manage and maintain relationships with community organizations and local businesses to explore partnership opportunities for cross-promotion.
6. Oversee the production of promotional materials, including radio commercials, imaging, and digital content.
7. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of promotional campaigns by tracking key performance indicators and providing regular reports to management.
8. Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the promotional strategies.
9. Train, mentor, and supervise a team of promotions staff, ensuring a high level of professionalism and adherence to brand guidelines.
10. Budget and allocate resources effectively to optimize promotional initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Previous experience in radio promotions or a related role within the broadcasting industry.
