Title: Public Administration Specialist

Position Overview:
The Public Administration Specialist is responsible for providing expertise in the field of public administration within the Political Science department of the Social Sciences division. This role requires a deep understanding of governmental structures, policies, and processes, as well as the ability to analyze and evaluate public administration practices. The specialist will collaborate with faculty members and students, contribute to curriculum development, and conduct research in the field of public administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on various aspects of public administration, including policy implementation, organizational behavior, and public management techniques.
- Collaborate with faculty members to develop and deliver courses related to public administration, ensuring alignment with the department's goals and objectives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students pursuing studies or projects in the area of public administration.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, theories, and best practices in public administration and incorporate them into instructional materials and research initiatives.
- Assist in the design and execution of research projects, including data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Participate in academic conferences, workshops, and seminars to enhance professional knowledge and contribute to the field.
- Contribute to the department's accreditation and assessment processes, including program evaluation and student outcomes assessment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
- In-depth knowledge of public administration theories, concepts, and practices.
- Strong research skills, including the ability to design and conduct empirical research studies.
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students in a multicultural and inclusive environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of public administration.
- Knowledge of relevant software applications, statistical analysis tools, and database management systems.
- Familiarity with ethical guidelines and research protocols in social science research.
