Position: Learning Designer

Job Summary:
The Learning Designer is responsible for designing and developing educational content and curriculum materials for various learning initiatives. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to create engaging, effective, and learner-centered educational experiences. The Learning Designer will ensure that instructional materials are aligned with instructional goals, meet quality standards, and adhere to relevant regulations and best practices.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs and define learning objectives.
2. Design and develop engaging and interactive learning materials, including instructional modules, lesson plans, assessments, and multimedia elements, using various formats and technologies.
3. Utilize instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create learner-centered educational experiences.
4. Ensure that instructional materials are accessible, culturally sensitive, and inclusive.
5. Conduct thorough research and gather relevant information to support the development of instructional materials.
6. Apply instructional design methodologies to create effective assessments and evaluate learner performance.
7. Review and revise existing curriculum materials to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with industry standards.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate feedback and implement revisions.
9. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design and adult learning.
10. Participate in team meetings, workshops, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
4. Proficiency in using a variety of e-learning authoring tools and multimedia software.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify learner needs and design appropriate solutions.
7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
8. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines.
9. Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in e-learning design.
10. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and learning analytics is a plus.
