Job Summary:
The R&D Engineer is responsible for conducting research and development activities within the field of chemical engineering. This role focuses on developing innovative solutions, improving existing processes, and optimizing product performance. The R&D Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct research and development activities to identify, design, and implement novel chemical engineering solutions.
2. Develop and optimize chemical processes, formulations, and manufacturing techniques to enhance product performance and quality.
3. Design and execute experiments, perform data analysis, and interpret results to drive decision-making.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and regulatory departments, to ensure successful implementation of R&D projects.
5. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and scientific advancements related to chemical engineering.
6. Prepare technical reports, document experimental procedures, and maintain accurate records to support intellectual property protection and regulatory compliance.
7. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing and implementing corrective actions as required.
8. Participate in the development and improvement of laboratory protocols, equipment, and safety procedures.
9. Comply with all relevant safety guidelines, practices, and regulations in the laboratory and workplace.
10. Present research findings, project updates, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in chemical engineering research and development, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
3. Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, theories, and practices.
4. Proficiency in utilizing engineering software, simulation tools, and statistical analysis software.
5. Demonstrated ability to design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply critical thinking to complex technical challenges.
7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
10. Adherence to high ethical standards and a commitment to workplace safety.
