Job Summary:
The Avionics Integration Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of avionics systems into aerospace vehicles. This role requires a deep understanding of avionics subsystems, integration techniques, and industry standards. The Avionics Integration Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support the design, development, and testing of avionics systems while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of avionics requirements to develop efficient integration strategies
- Collaborate with avionics design teams to ensure the proper integration of avionics subsystems into aerospace vehicles
- Support the selection and validation of avionics components and systems, considering factors such as performance, reliability, and cost
- Develop and execute integration plans, including defining test strategies, coordinating testing activities, and analyzing test results
- Identify and resolve integration issues by conducting thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements
- Participate in design reviews, providing expertise and recommendations for avionics integration improvements
- Document integration processes, procedures, and test results for internal reference and regulatory compliance purposes
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in avionics integration techniques, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of X years of experience in avionics integration or a related engineering role
- In-depth knowledge of avionics subsystems, including flight control systems, navigation systems, communication systems, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in avionics integration techniques, including hardware integration, software integration, and system-level integration
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations governing avionics integration, such as DO-178C, DO-254, and ARP4754
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving integration issues in avionics systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, software engineers, and quality assurance professionals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing project requirements
