Job Summary:
The Orbital Mechanics Engineer is responsible for analyzing and developing mathematical models and algorithms to accurately predict and evaluate the trajectory, behavior, and dynamics of spacecraft and satellites in orbit. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the aerospace engineering team to design, optimize, and validate orbital missions, ensuring the successful deployment and operation of space vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and refine mathematical models and equations to simulate, predict, and analyze the motion, trajectory, and orbital dynamics of spacecraft and satellites.
2. Conduct extensive research and analysis to ensure accurate representation and understanding of complex orbital mechanics phenomena.
3. Design, implement, and improve numerical algorithms to solve orbital mechanics problems, considering factors such as gravitational forces, atmospheric drag, solar radiation pressure, and spacecraft propulsion.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and optimize orbital missions, including launch, transfer, rendezvous, and de-orbit scenarios.
5. Perform detailed spacecraft mission planning, including orbit determination and maintenance, orbital maneuvers, and collision avoidance strategies.
6. Conduct thorough simulations and analyses to assess mission feasibility, evaluate system performance, and identify potential risks and anomalies.
7. Develop tools and software applications to support orbital mechanics analysis and simulations, ensuring ease of use and accuracy.

Skills and Qualifications:

2. Proven experience in orbital mechanics analysis, including spacecraft trajectory optimization, orbit determination, and mission planning.
