Job Description: Wind Energy Engineer (Mechanical)
Position Overview:
The Wind Energy Engineer (Mechanical) will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components for wind energy projects. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles as they apply to wind turbine systems, with a focus on ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop mechanical systems and components for wind turbine projects, including blades, hubs, nacelles, and drivetrains.
2. Conduct thorough analysis and calculations to optimize the performance and efficiency of wind turbine mechanical systems.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, structural engineers, and project managers, to ensure effective integration of mechanical systems within wind energy projects.
4. Perform detailed technical assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate the suitability of mechanical designs for specific wind energy sites.
5. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
6. Identify and propose innovative solutions to enhance the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of wind turbine mechanical systems.
7. Monitor and analyze the performance of wind turbine mechanical systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary modifications or upgrades.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) in mechanical engineering, preferably in the wind energy industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
4. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, for the design and modeling of mechanical systems.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct complex calculations and simulations to optimize mechanical designs.
6. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to wind energy systems, such as IEC 61400 and ISO 9001.
