Job Description: Wastewater Engineer
Position Overview:
The Wastewater Engineer plays a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of wastewater treatment systems and infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, as well as expertise in wastewater treatment processes and technologies. The Wastewater Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of wastewater engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop wastewater treatment systems, including collection networks, pump stations, and treatment plants, adhering to established industry standards and regulations.
2. Conduct detailed analyses and calculations to determine wastewater treatment requirements, hydraulic profiles, and flow rates, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental and regulatory guidelines.
3. Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents for wastewater infrastructure projects, utilizing industry-standard design software and tools.
4. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of wastewater engineering projects, while adhering to project timelines and budgets.
5. Perform site visits and evaluations to assess existing wastewater infrastructure, identify potential issues, and propose improvements or remediation plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is required.
3. Proven experience in designing and implementing wastewater treatment systems, including knowledge of collection networks, pump stations, and treatment plant processes.
4. Thorough understanding of civil engineering principles, hydraulic calculations, and fluid dynamics as they relate to wastewater engineering.
5. Proficiency in utilizing industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed analyses and interpret complex data sets.
