Job Summary:
The Oncology Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients diagnosed with cancer and undergoing treatment. Key Responsibilities:

2. Monitor patients' vital signs, assess their physical and emotional well-being, and document any changes in their condition.
3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs, including pain management and symptom control.
4. Educate patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.
5. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and sensitivity.
6. Perform various nursing procedures, such as starting IVs, drawing blood samples, and inserting catheters, adhering to established protocols and infection control measures.
7. Document patient information, nursing care provided, and treatment outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
8. Stay up-to-date with current oncology practices, research, and advancements in cancer treatment through continuous learning and professional development.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Valid nursing license and registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
3. Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a focus on oncology nursing preferred.
