Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Veterinary Practice Management Instructor to join our esteemed institution's Veterinary Medicine department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality classroom and practical instruction in the field of veterinary practice management. This role will contribute significantly to the professional development of our students, ensuring they acquire the skills and knowledge required to succeed in veterinary practice management.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver comprehensive classroom instruction, using effective teaching methodologies and instructional materials, to students enrolled in veterinary medicine programs.
2. Design, develop, and update course curricula, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices in veterinary practice management.
3. Facilitate engaging and interactive discussions, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
4. Provide guidance and support to students, fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging their academic and professional growth.
5. Conduct practical training sessions, including hands-on laboratory experiences, to enhance students' understanding and application of veterinary practice management principles.
6. Assess student performance through various evaluation methods, such as quizzes, exams, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their learning outcomes.
7. Stay abreast of current trends, advancements, and regulations in veterinary practice management to continually update and enhance instructional materials and teaching techniques.
8. Collaborate with other faculty members and industry professionals to ensure the program's curriculum remains relevant and effective.
9. Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and professional development activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of the Veterinary Medicine department.
10. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
11. Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting diversity, equity, and respect among students and colleagues.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of a Master's degree in Veterinary Practice Management, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field is required.
2. A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree is highly desirable.
3. Proven experience in veterinary practice management or a related field, preferably in a leadership role within a veterinary practice.
4. Strong knowledge of veterinary practice management principles, including financial management, human resources, marketing, and client relations.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively deliver complex concepts and information to diverse audiences.
6. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging and interactive instruction, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Proficiency in using instructional technology platforms and software applications relevant to veterinary practice management instruction.

11. Familiarity with accreditation standards and requirements for veterinary medicine programs is advantageous.
