Job Description: Veterinary Technician Supervisor
Position Overview:
The Veterinary Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the veterinary nursing team in a veterinary medicine setting. Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or related field.
2. Certification as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) is mandatory.
3. Proven experience working as a Veterinary Technician Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a veterinary medicine setting.
4. Thorough understanding of veterinary nursing practices, including animal handling, anesthesia, surgical assistance, and laboratory procedures.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of veterinary technicians.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with veterinarians, staff, and clients.
7. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, ensuring accurate record-keeping and adherence to protocols.
