Job Description: Airport Facilities Manager
Position Summary:
The Airport Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of all airport facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and customer service. This role requires a deep understanding of aviation management and logistics within the transportation industry. The Airport Facilities Manager will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including airport authorities, airlines, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure an optimal airport experience for all users.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic plans for effective facility management, considering both short-term objectives and long-term sustainability goals.
2. Oversee the maintenance and repair of airport facilities, including terminals, runways, hangars, parking areas, and other infrastructure elements.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and security protocols, while continuously improving processes and procedures.
4. Manage facilities-related projects, including construction, renovations, and expansions, by coordinating with architects, contractors, and other relevant parties.
5. Collaborate with various departments, such as operations, security, and administration, to optimize facility performance, streamline processes, and maximize operational efficiency.
6. Monitor and control facility budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and adherence to financial targets.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with airport authorities, airlines, tenants, and other stakeholders to foster a collaborative and customer-oriented environment.
8. Implement and maintain effective emergency response plans, coordinating with relevant departments and local authorities to ensure the safety of airport facilities and personnel.
9. Conduct regular inspections and audits of airport facilities to identify potential risks, maintenance needs, and areas for improvement.
10. Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in aviation management, incorporating relevant updates into facility management practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered.
2. Proven experience (X years) in a similar role, with a strong background in airport facility management and operations.
3. In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety standards, and security protocols.
4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them within established timelines and budgets.
5. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
