Job Description: Reverse Logistics Manager
Position Overview:
The Reverse Logistics Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the reverse logistics operations within the transportation and logistics industry. This position requires comprehensive knowledge and expertise in managing the movement, tracking, and processing of returned goods and products from customers and distribution centers back to the point of origin or designated location. The Reverse Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective reverse logistics processes while meeting customer satisfaction goals and optimizing operational costs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures for the efficient handling and processing of returned goods and products.
2. Oversee the entire reverse logistics process, including receiving, sorting, inspection, repair, repackaging, and disposition of returned items.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues related to reverse logistics, such as product defects, packaging concerns, or fulfillment errors.
4. Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and service providers to facilitate smooth reverse logistics operations.
5. Analyze and evaluate reverse logistics data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased customer satisfaction.
6. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of reverse logistics operations.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to reverse logistics.
8. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of reverse logistics processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in logistics management, supply chain management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) in managing reverse logistics operations within the transportation and logistics industry.
3. Strong knowledge of reverse logistics processes, including receiving, sorting, inspection, repair, repackaging, and disposition of returned goods.
4. Proficient in using logistics management software and systems to track and manage reverse logistics operations.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
