Job Description: E-commerce Email Marketing Manager
Position Overview:
The E-commerce Email Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing email marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement, retention, and revenue generation for our retail and sales e-commerce business. This role requires a strong understanding of e-commerce email marketing strategies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze campaign performance data to make data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute end-to-end email marketing campaigns, including planning, content creation, segmentation, scheduling, and deployment.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align email marketing strategies with overall marketing goals and initiatives.
3. Design and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize email performance, including subject lines, copy, visuals, and CTAs.
4. Analyze campaign metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and revenue generated, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
5. Segment customer database and create personalized email campaigns based on customer behaviors, preferences, and purchase history.
6. Implement automated email marketing campaigns, including triggered emails, abandoned cart emails, welcome series, and post-purchase follow-ups.
7. Monitor and maintain the email marketing calendar, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of campaigns.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in e-commerce email marketing, and proactively suggest innovative ideas to enhance campaign performance.
9. Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling email templates, graphics, and visuals that align with brand guidelines and drive engagement.
10. Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in e-commerce email marketing, preferably in a retail or sales environment.
3. Strong knowledge of email marketing platforms and tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
4. Proven track record of creating and managing successful email marketing campaigns, driving revenue growth and customer engagement.
5. Proficient in email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, A/B testing, and automation.
6. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
7. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
8. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and a strong understanding of brand voice.
9. Familiarity with HTML and CSS coding for email templates is preferred.
10. Knowledge of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
