Job Description: Real Estate Development HR Manager
Position Overview:
The Real Estate Development HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the Real Estate Development department of a real estate and property management company. This role plays a critical part in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to support the company's real estate development initiatives. The HR Manager will ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, develop and implement HR policies and procedures, and provide strategic HR guidance to support the department's objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's overall objectives and real estate development goals.
2. Collaborate with department leaders to identify and anticipate HR needs and requirements to support the effective execution of real estate development projects.
3. Oversee the recruitment and selection process for real estate development positions, ensuring the attraction of highly skilled professionals.
4. Develop and maintain effective onboarding programs to facilitate the seamless integration of new hires into the real estate development team.
5. Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
6. Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with relevant regulations.
7. Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
8. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
9. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of real estate development employees.
10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
11. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
12. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in real estate development HR management and implement relevant initiatives.
13. Collaborate with the broader HR team to leverage resources, share best practices, and promote a cohesive HR approach across the organization.
14. Manage and lead a team of HR professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar HR leadership role within the real estate development industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and practices related to real estate development.
4. Strong understanding of human resources best practices and ability to apply them within the real estate development context.
5. Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits administration.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative HR solutions.
8. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
9. Excellent leadership and people management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and developing HR teams.
10. Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant HR software applications.
