Job Description: Utility Digital Transformation Manager
Position Overview:
The Utility Digital Transformation Manager is responsible for leading and driving the digital transformation initiatives within the Energy and Utilities industry. This role focuses on managing the utility management systems and implementing digital solutions to optimize operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and enable data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the digital transformation strategy and roadmap for utility management systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize digital transformation opportunities, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
3. Oversee the implementation and integration of digital solutions, such as advanced metering infrastructure, smart grid technologies, and data analytics platforms.
4. Manage and optimize utility management systems, ensuring data integrity, system performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Conduct regular assessments of existing processes, systems, and technologies to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
6. Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring effective utilization of digital tools and technologies.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners, overseeing vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in utility digitalization, and recommend relevant strategies for the organization.
9. Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of digital transformation initiatives, analyzing key performance indicators and providing insights for continuous improvement.
10. Collaborate with HR and training departments to develop and deliver training programs to enhance digital literacy and adoption across the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
2. Proven experience (at least 5 years) in utility management, digital transformation, or a related field within the Energy and Utilities industry.
3. In-depth understanding of utility management systems, technologies, and industry standards.
4. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead complex digital transformation initiatives from initiation to successful implementation.
5. Proficiency in data analytics, with the ability to leverage insights to drive operational improvements and business decisions.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
