Job Summary:
The Energy Efficiency Program Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating energy efficiency programs. This role entails managing all aspects of energy efficiency projects, including identifying opportunities, conducting energy audits, developing energy-saving strategies, implementing energy-efficient technologies, and measuring program effectiveness. The Energy Efficiency Program Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of energy efficiency initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development and execution of comprehensive energy efficiency programs and projects.
2. Identify and evaluate potential energy-saving opportunities and technologies to increase energy efficiency.
3. Conduct energy audits, analyze energy usage data, and identify areas for improvement.
4. Develop and implement energy conservation strategies and initiatives to achieve energy reduction goals.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement energy-efficient technologies and practices.
6. Manage and oversee the implementation of energy efficiency projects, including procurement, installation, and commissioning.
7. Monitor and track program progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and performance metrics.
8. Analyze program data, generate reports, and provide insights to drive continuous improvement.
9. Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in energy efficiency.
10. Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams on energy efficiency initiatives.
11. Foster relationships with external partners, vendors, and contractors to support program implementation.
12. Conduct regular training sessions to educate employees on energy conservation practices and promote awareness.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) in managing energy efficiency programs or projects.
3. In-depth knowledge of energy management principles, energy-saving technologies, and energy efficiency standards.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret energy data and identify improvement opportunities.
5. Proficient in conducting energy audits and utilizing energy modeling software.
6. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
7. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement energy conservation strategies.
8. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
9. Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
10. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
11. Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to energy efficiency.
12. Certification in Energy Management (e.g., Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor) is preferred.
