Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our energy engineering team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and components for energy and utilities projects. Your expertise in mechanical design will play a critical role in optimizing energy efficiency and ensuring the successful execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop mechanical systems and components for energy and utilities projects, adhering to industry standards and project requirements.
2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify innovative and cost-effective solutions for mechanical designs.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within overall project objectives.
4. Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to facilitate the manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of mechanical components.
5. Perform comprehensive calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies to validate mechanical designs and optimize energy efficiency.
6. Conduct rigorous testing and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the design and implementation phases.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory updates related to mechanical design engineering in the energy sector.
9. Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as vendors and contractors, to evaluate and select suitable mechanical components and materials.
10. Participate in project meetings, presenting design proposals, progress reports, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the energy engineering or utilities industry.
3. Strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
4. In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
5. Proficient in conducting engineering calculations and simulations using industry-standard software (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
6. Extensive experience in designing mechanical systems, components, and equipment, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative design solutions.
8. Strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to work effectively within project timelines and budgets.
9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
10. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and foster a positive and productive work environment.
