Job Summary:
The Recreation Therapy Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational therapy programs and activities to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being within the physical education department. Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field.
- Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in planning and implementing recreational therapy programs, preferably in a physical education or sports setting.
- In-depth knowledge of recreational therapy theories, techniques, and practices.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and psychology as they relate to recreational therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to assess individual needs, develop personalized therapy plans, and monitor progress.
- Proficiency in documenting and maintaining accurate records.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
