Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive dance education curricula, incorporating various styles and techniques suitable for students of different ages and skill levels.
2. Deliver engaging and interactive dance lessons that focus on developing students' technical ability, coordination, creativity, and performance skills.
3. Provide individualized instruction and guidance to students, ensuring their progress and growth in dance.
4. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to express themselves, build self-confidence, and develop teamwork and collaboration skills.
5. Plan and organize dance performances, showcases, and competitions to showcase students' achievements and promote their passion for dance.
6. Assess and evaluate students' progress regularly through practical examinations, assessments, and feedback, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their strengths and areas for improvement.
7. Collaborate with other physical education and arts educators to develop interdisciplinary programs and initiatives.
8. Stay updated with new trends, techniques, and developments in dance education, incorporating them into lesson plans and instructional methods.
9. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and achievements, and communicate progress to students, parents, and school administration.
10. Ensure the safety and well-being of students during dance classes, adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Dance Education, Physical Education, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Dance Education Teacher, preferably in an educational institution or dance academy.
3. In-depth knowledge of various dance styles, techniques, and terminology.
4. Strong background and proficiency in teaching ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and other dance genres.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills to effectively engage and motivate students.
6. Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
7. Demonstrated ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans and activities.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and manage dance programs and events.
9. Familiarity with dance-related technology, such as music editing software or video editing tools, is an advantage.
10. Current knowledge of health and safety regulations related to dance instruction.
