Job Summary:
The Sports Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration of a sports facility. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can ensure the smooth functioning of the facility and deliver an exceptional experience to all users. The Sports Facility Manager will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating events, maintaining facility standards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the overall operations of the sports facility, including scheduling, maintenance, customer service, and facility usage.
2. Develop and implement strategies to enhance facility utilization, revenue generation, and operational efficiency.
3. Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of facility staff, including coaches, trainers, custodial staff, and front desk personnel.
4. Coordinate and schedule facility usage for various sports activities, leagues, tournaments, and events.
5. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe environment for all facility users.
6. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote facility programs and services, increase membership, and attract new clients.
7. Maintain accurate records of facility usage, equipment inventory, and financial transactions.
8. Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs and improvements.
9. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
10. Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and prepare financial reports related to the facility's operations.
11. Foster positive relationships with facility users, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in sports management, facility management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (minimum X years) in managing sports facilities or similar operations.
3. Strong knowledge of sports facility operations, including facility maintenance, scheduling, and event coordination.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
5. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with facility users, staff, and stakeholders.
7. Proficient in using facility management software or systems.
8. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
9. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
10. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in sports facility management.
11. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
