Job Summary:
The Aerospace Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing complex aerospace projects from initiation to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of aerospace technology. The Aerospace Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and execute aerospace projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, objectives, and timelines.
2. Develop and manage project budgets, including resource allocation, cost estimation, and tracking of expenditures.
3. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify project objectives, and communicate project progress.
4. Lead project teams by providing clear direction, assigning tasks, and ensuring effective collaboration.
5. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
6. Monitor and control project deliverables, identifying and resolving any issues or deviations from project plans.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices throughout project execution.
8. Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, milestones achieved, and lessons learned.
9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and implementing best practices.
10. Stay up-to-date with advancements in aerospace technology and industry trends to drive innovation within projects.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing aerospace projects, preferably within the aviation or aerospace industry.
3. Strong knowledge of aerospace systems, including aircraft design, propulsion, avionics, and manufacturing processes.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
6. Proven experience in project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
7. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
8. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Familiarity with regulatory standards, such as FAA, EASA, or equivalent, is highly desirable.
