Job Summary:
The Aerospace Data Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting aerospace data to support decision-making and drive process improvements within the aerospace technology department. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex datasets. The Aerospace Data Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to provide valuable insights and recommendations for optimizing aerospace operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collect, clean, and validate aerospace data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
2. Analyze and interpret large datasets using statistical techniques and data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
3. Develop and maintain automated data analysis processes to streamline data collection, cleansing, and reporting activities.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure data quality and consistency.
5. Design and implement data models, algorithms, and predictive models to support aerospace technology initiatives.
6. Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate key findings and insights to management and stakeholders.
7. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and safety in aerospace operations based on data analysis.
8. Conduct root cause analysis on data-related issues and recommend corrective actions.
9. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in aerospace data analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Adhere to data privacy and security regulations while handling sensitive aerospace data.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a data analyst or in a similar analytical role within the aerospace industry.
3. Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
4. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
5. Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a focus on data quality.
8. Ability to effectively communicate complex analytical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
9. Experience in designing and implementing data models and algorithms is preferred.
10. Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, regulations, and data sources is a plus.
