Job Description: Aerospace Technology - Spacecraft Systems Analyst
Position Summary:
The Aerospace Technology - Spacecraft Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and ensuring the efficient design and development of spacecraft systems. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the planning, integration, and testing of spacecraft systems, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and industry standards. The incumbent will play a critical role in identifying potential risks, proposing mitigation strategies, and optimizing spacecraft system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and evaluate spacecraft systems to ensure compliance with technical requirements and industry standards.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the planning, integration, and testing of spacecraft systems.
3. Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize impact on spacecraft system performance.
4. Conduct detailed system analysis, including requirements analysis, performance evaluation, and system trade-off studies.
5. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and reports.
6. Support the identification and implementation of system enhancements or modifications.
7. Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise on spacecraft system architecture, subsystem interfaces, and integration processes.
8. Conduct regular assessments of spacecraft system performance and recommend improvements or modifications as necessary.
9. Stay up-to-date with advancements in aerospace technology, specifically related to spacecraft systems, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
10. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on spacecraft system requirements and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of X years of experience in spacecraft systems analysis or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of aerospace technology and spacecraft systems, including subsystems and interfaces.
4. Proficient in conducting detailed system analysis, including requirements analysis, performance evaluation, and trade-off studies.
5. Solid understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in spacecraft system design and development.
6. Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with spacecraft systems.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
9. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
10. Proficient in using relevant software and tools for system analysis, such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar.
11. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively contribute to cross-functional projects.
