Job Summary:
The Aerospace Technician is responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks related to the design, assembly, testing, and maintenance of aerospace systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of aerospace technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting inspections, troubleshooting, and repairing various aerospace components, systems, and equipment
- Assembling, installing, and testing aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications
- Collaborating with engineers and other technicians to develop and implement modifications and upgrades to aerospace systems
- Conducting performance tests and evaluations on aerospace equipment to ensure functionality and safety
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed, test results, and equipment maintenance
- Collaborating with team members to identify and resolve technical issues and improve overall operational efficiency
- Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations while working on aerospace systems
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Aerospace Technology, Avionics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the aerospace industry as a technician
- Strong knowledge of aerospace systems, components, and equipment
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to effectively use a variety of hand and power tools, measurement equipment, and testing devices
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to maintain accurate records
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations
