Job Summary:
The Aircraft Painting Technician is responsible for performing meticulous aircraft painting and refinishing activities in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and clean aircraft surfaces for painting by removing dirt, grease, rust, and old paint layers using appropriate methods such as sanding, scraping, and chemical cleaning.
- Mix, match, and apply paint finishes to aircraft structures, components, and interiors by utilizing spray guns, brushes, and other painting equipment.
- Perform masking and taping procedures to protect aircraft areas not intended for painting.
- Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects, imperfections, and color consistency, and make necessary touch-ups or adjustments as required.
- Follow proper handling and disposal procedures for hazardous materials, paints, solvents, and related substances.
- Maintain accurate records of paint usage, inventory levels, and completed work orders.
