Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Aviation and Aerospace department. As an Aerospace Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing aircraft, spacecraft, and their components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise in aeronautical engineering will contribute to the successful execution of complex projects and the advancement of our aerospace technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis to determine project feasibility, performance requirements, and environmental impact of aerospace systems
- Design and develop aerospace components, systems, and prototypes using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Perform comprehensive engineering calculations and simulations to evaluate the efficiency, stability, and safety of aerospace systems
- Conduct testing and analysis of prototypes and existing systems to identify potential issues and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, materials engineers, and technicians, to ensure seamless integration of aerospace systems
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including engineering specifications, drawings, and reports
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in aerospace engineering to contribute innovative ideas and solutions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures throughout the engineering process
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and suppliers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience as an Aerospace Engineer or in a similar role within the aviation and aerospace industry
- Strong knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, theories, and concepts
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA
- Familiarity with aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and stress analysis techniques
- Demonstrated ability to conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and finite element analysis (FEA)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including FAA regulations, is highly desirable
