Job Summary:
The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various automotive systems and components. This position requires in-depth knowledge of automotive mechanics, electrical systems, and computer diagnostics, coupled with exceptional technical skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform accurate and efficient diagnosis of automotive issues using diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical resources.
2. Conduct thorough inspections and testing of vehicle systems and components to identify faults, malfunctions, or potential problems.
3. Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks on various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
4. Replace or repair faulty components, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
5. Utilize computerized systems and software to diagnose and troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
6. Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and parts used, including labor hours and warranty information.
7. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
8. Keep up-to-date with emerging automotive technologies, industry trends, and advancements to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in one or more areas (e.g., engine repair, brakes, electrical systems, etc.).
3. Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, demonstrating expertise in diagnosing and repairing automotive systems.
4. Strong technical knowledge of automotive mechanics, electrical systems, and computer diagnostics.
5. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment.
6. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
7. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
8. Familiarity with automotive industry regulations and safety standards.
9. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
10. Effective communication skills to explain technical information to customers and colleagues.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
13. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
