Position Summary:
The Network Systems Integrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems to ensure efficient and reliable operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate network infrastructure components, troubleshoot network issues, and optimize network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement network infrastructure solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
2. Integrate network systems and applications to ensure seamless functionality and data flow.
3. Configure and maintain network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
4. Collaborate with network architects, engineers, and other IT teams to design and implement network solutions that align with business objectives.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including network connectivity, performance, and security problems.
6. Monitor network performance, analyze network traffic patterns, and identify areas for optimization.
7. Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
8. Conduct regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
9. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
10. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to network systems integration.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or network systems integration role.
3. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure solutions.
4. Solid understanding of network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, VPN, and MPLS.
5. Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers from various vendors.
6. Strong knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
7. Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools, such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
8. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
9. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve network issues.
10. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to document network configurations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
